RHONJ: You Can Lead A Horse To Water...
Now we’ve heard it straight from the horse’s mouth: Teresa and Melissa are both shallow and emotionally stunted. And just as Caroline has been saying, it’s possible these two women don’t like each other because they just don’t like looking in the mirror. But then, Teresa and Joe Gorga did basically marry their own sibling so it makes perfect sense. On Sunday’s episode of RHONJ, the spiritual healing retreat continued with an exercise we’ve seen in every rehab movie. The Gorga, Giudice, and Wakile clans had to lift a horse’s leg to clean his shoe, an exercise that exposes the emotionally weak and rewards the vulnerable. While most of the group, including the skeptics, felt this was a very healing exercise, Teresa, Melissa and Gorga hardly even tried. So much for turning over a new leaf.
Everyone else was surprisingly vulnerable. Even Joe Giudice admitted that he’s afraid of where his legal troubles could lead, a part that probably made America uncomfortably shift in their chairs.
Teresa, Melissa and Gorga are still in denial about why they weren’t successful with Seabiscuit. Joe thinks it was a great exercise for the weaker people so they could confront their issues. Teresa says she doesn’t have any insecurities, so the exercise didn’t really apply to her. And Melissa says she just met the horse 3 minutes ago so “judontknowmylife.” I say, denial by any other name would smell as desperate.
The episode ends on a heartwarming note with Teresa and Jacqueline truly making amends and even cleaning each other’s shoes. It’s a sweet calm before next week’s storm. Because if you thought that this group was going to stay peaceful for long, you’ve clearly never seen this show before. Based on next week’s preview, World War 3 starts up again and something gets broken!
